My battle with addiction and how I overcame

My name is Lauren Burnett and on a daily basis I fight addiction to give my children and myself a better life. Through arresting my addiction I have managed to follow my dreams and goals in setting up a fashion brand and business which has gone from strength to strength. Today I live a happy, healthy and successful lifestyle none of which would be possible without 12 step recovery.

I will be uploading my testimonial video soon

hi, my husband has battled addiction since he's been 15. he is now 37. last year in August he relapsed. at the beginning of the year he started having cravings and thoughts of using. we tried getting help but they said they couldn't help if he wasn't using. it was very poor advice. then in August he relapsed. it turned are life into a night mare. he went into rehab for 90 days and began his 12 steps. he attended na meetings every day for 90 days. after 90 days he came home. every day

he now goes to growing rooms where he does his step work and voluntary work for the community. he's been clean now for 4 months. I have supported him through everything he is a better man now. we read the just for today daily pray out every day and has a family try to live by the rules. it has made are family better. the battle of addiction is a very hard daily battle. e erythromycin morning you should wake up and be very proud of yourself for beating the battle. you are a very strong lady bringing a family up whilst winning your battle and running your business. good luck for your future x

Hi both, Jessica- what wonderful words of support and I hope that your husband's battle gets easier and lighter. it sounds like your husband is truly blessed to have you and I love the Just for Today idea, reading that aloud I'm sure makes a big difference!

Lauren - Well done for stepping out and sharing, and well done for each day and working hard to make a better life and not giving in to the addictive calls. I hope and pray that it gets easier and that your story reaches out to others not as far in the journey as you. xx
